Adding students directly into a Breakout EDU account allows teachers to seamlessly view and manage accounts and game access. There are several ways to onboard students into your Breakout EDU classroom allowing teachers to choose what works best for them and their population of learners.
Single Sign-on
With SSO, students get access to the Breakout EDU classroom using the same school credentials they use for other platforms saving teachers time and ensuring easy access to learning activities.
Class Codes
Teachers can create a class in seconds and the platform will automatically generate a code to easily roster their students. Many teachers place the class code on a whiteboard, SMARTboard, chalkboard, or easel for students to input as their bellringer or warmup on game day and within moments each student is in and ready to play! Class codes make it easy for teachers to manage multiple classes and students while making sure each class has instant access to the right game, at the right time.
LMS Rostering
Classlink, Google Classroom, and Microsoft give you the option of seamlessly importing students directly into your Breakout EDU classroom. From the “My Classes” tab, simply click “Import Class,” select your LMS, and watch the platforms sync! All students registered in your LMS will now appear in the Breakout EDU classroom. If students join or leave your class throughout the year, you can click “update” at any time to resync the connection and update student accounts.
Full steam ahead! Tracking student performance
With students now enrolled, teachers are able to view student performance, see how much time students spend on each task, and guide student game creation. Real-time data makes it easy to identify areas where students may need additional support as both learners and as creators!
Breakout EDU classroom allows teachers to see how much time students spend on a task as well as their scores on each lock or puzzle. This data is integral to informing lesson plans to avoid bumps in the road and keep learning moving forward. The ability to monitor student performance and progress is a powerful tool for identifying areas where students may be struggling to provide additional support.
Students can also create their own games to challenge peers (and teachers!). This fun twist on Breakout EDU games allows students to lead the way and show off their learning. With student accounts inside the Breakout EDU classroom, teachers can review games, leave feedback, and add finished games to the classroom library for their classmates to play.
For extra mileage, teachers can use the data to share targeted feedback on progress and areas of need with students and parents!
