Supporting teachers and engaging students with Breakout EDU classes

Simplify teaching and amplify engagement with a few clicks!

One of the key features that allows Breakout EDU to empower teachers and students alike is our comprehensive and user-friendly digital classroom experience. When teachers create a class on Breakout EDU, they are able to streamline classroom management, enhance engagement, and track student progress.

With Breakout EDU classes, teachers can enable the Lock of the Day, assign digital games to students, and view real-time game results. Creating a class is quick and easy! For those with Classlink or Google Classroom, importing your roster takes only a few clicks. For those wishing to enroll students via class code, simply create a new class, share the code with their students, and ask them to login and enter the code.

Once classes are created, the real fun can begin! Here are some other ways rostering students into a Breakout EDU class can help with classroom management, engagement, and progress monitoring.

Streamlined classroom management

With students all together in a Breakout EDU classroom, it’s even easier to assign a game. The first step is to find the game you want to assign! With spring break on the horizon, perhaps your students would like to practice their literacy skills with Adjective Acres or your science enthusiasts would enjoy challenging their math skills with Galactic Round Up (or Down). Regardless of which adventure you choose, getting it into the hands of students has never been easier.

Assigning a Breakout EDU game to individuals or small groups is a great way to differentiate instruction, personalize experience, and scaffold learning.

Simply click the “Assign” button located to the left of every game. From there, you can decide to either assign the game to your whole class or to individual students. Assigning to individuals or small groups is a great way to differentiate instruction, personalize experience, and scaffold learning.

Almost done! As a final step, decide if you want to assign the game immediately or schedule it to deploy for a future date. Assigning games in advance is an easy way for teachers to save time while still ensuring a structured learning environment. Once assigned, all students need to do is login, click an assignment in their “To Do List”, and start having fun while learning!
